Open Source Hardware Convention 2012
The Open Source Hardware, Electronics and Robotics Convention is a 3-day event organized by the Synusia collective in an effort to extend the Open Source Software and to promote electronics and the philosophy of "do it yourself". The event will take place in Madrid at the Centro de Formación Padre Piquer, from the 21 to 23 September 2012.
During OSHWCon, visitors will be able to attend and participate in lectures, workshops, round table discussions, and exhibitions of personal projects. Above all, a meeting place will be offered to professionals and amateurs from the world of electronics. Attendance is free of charge and open to everyone. The activities are aimed at everybody from beginners to participants in high-level lectures and workshops.
Our objective is that throughout the OSHWCon., everybody might enjoy learning about electronics and robotics, and that they might share what they know with others, even taking part in electronic games and competitions, all based on the philosophy of Open Source Hardware. There are four different halls where several activities can take place simultaneously, so there will always be something interesting to do.
If you have something to contribute, if you wish to share your latest electronic creation with others, or if you are an expert on some electronic matter and you wish to explain it to the rest of the world, let us know in the "Suggest your talk" section. First check out "Call4Papers" for more information on the activities which are of interest. In case you are wondering what made us organize this event, take a look at our "Manifesto".
You are all welcome to participate, either as a visitor or as an active member of the OSHWCon. We´ll be waiting for you at the weekend of the 21st to 23th September! Please remember to register on our site if you intend to come. What´s more, recordings of all the activities will be made available to everyone once the OSHWCon. comes to a close.
